Welcome

I encourage you to use this blog with your child. Have them explain to you what they were doing, learning, exploring, creating etc. Use this as an opportunity to talk about school and to allow your child to reflect on their day.

portrait drawing and mixing paint to create skin tones

To create skin tones we mixed white paint, a little red paint and a small amount of yellow paint. This creates the skin tone base.
 A little yellow to finish it off.
 Mix it up and the colour begins to form.
 To make it darker add some brown.
 To lighten it up add some more white.

 Here is the material that was being explored. The children were cutting, mixing paint and painting a surface.



 Some children were drawing themselves with crayons, markers and coloured pencils.
 If you are unsure what you look like...simply get a mirror!
